I’ve just read Rich Dad Poor Dad and Rich Dads Cashflow Quadrant by Robert Kiyosaki. In these books Robert talks about the
importance of financial intelligence. Which books do you recommmend which can help me increase my financial inteligence

Best answer:

Answer by TheSlayor
Warren Buffett wrote (maybe co-wrote) a book a few years ago. I highly recommend it.

Also, I would strongly recommend a basic textbook on micro- and macro-economics.

Good luck.

Question by : Why does the direct write-off method of accounting for bad debt usually fail to match revenues and expenses?
I’m taking Accounting 201. Can someone help me with this question, please.

Best answer:

Answer by Sandy
One important accounting principle is the notion of matching. That is, costs related to the production of revenue are reported during the same time period as the related revenue (i.e., “matched”). With the direct write-off method, many accounting periods may come and go before an account is finally determined to be uncollectible and written off. As a result, revenues from credit sales are recognized in one period, but the costs of uncollectible accounts related to those sales are not recognized until another subsequent period (producing an unacceptable mismatch of revenues and expenses).
